South Brent Concert for Westnell raises £565 – THANKS TO ALL...
80 people braved a typically drenched South Brent night to support Westnell and enjoy music from two acts new to the Village Hall. Katie Marie, a local from Totnes, led the event with an hour of passionate and intelligent singing accompanied by haunting guitar across a breadth of styles which led to demands for a double encore. We hope she comes back to Brent soon!

After an interval where tables were recharged with wine and beer and legs stretched, Robin Grey & Company, from Hackney in London gave a thoroughly entertaining and musically contrasting second half with a set of quirky, and foot-tapping ballads. With guitar, banjo, bass and ingenious percussion, the group kept us all entertained until the end.

Ticket sales, bar profits from the event and donations on the night raised a total of £565 for Westnell, and raised awareness of the charity's work.
